The hotly anticipated Fazer 250 from Yamaha Motor India never came but what did were two limited edition versions of the Yamaha R15 Version 2.0s. At this year’s Auto Expo, Yamaha focused mainly on its upcoming scooter range for the Indian market. The Yamaha Rio Concept scooter was unveiled and Yamaha also detailed its plans to target Indian women with its scooter range. Coming to the limited edition R15 Version 2.0 motorcycles that Yamaha unveiled at the Expo, these motorcycles feature new paint jobs to distinguish themselves from the standard versions.
While one version featured a red and white paint job that will definitely stand out amongst the crowd, the other version featured a red a black paint job, making for a more understated look. Both the motorcycles are priced at INR 1.1 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi and are available for order at Yamaha’s Indian dealerships right away.
Yamaha also showcased a R15 version 2.0 kitted out with the Daytona Racing performance goodies. This was the other big story from the Yamaha pavilion as this perhaps represents the first time that the R15 Version 2.0 has been kitted out with Daytona parts.
